Reimagined album art - Habiluim

This project focuses on a redesign of the album שכול וכישלון (Bereavement and Failure) by the Israeli band הבילויים (Habiluim). The design draws inspiration from the album’s portrayal of the political and cultural decline in Israeli society. Developed as a school project guided by Dekel Bobrov.

Lettering

The lettering was designed to be crude and “in your face,” reflecting the straightforward and unapologetic criticism expressed in the album’s lyrics.

Font

I used the font Hatzvi-Light for its historical and cultural connection to the Zionist movement, tying the design to the early ideals and vision of Israel. Its elegant form also serves to contrast with the crudeness of the main lettering.
